Overview
GamerGuard (“we”, “us”) helps parents manage gaming time and device access for their family. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using GamerGuard, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to run parental controls and your account:
- Account information — name, email address, and authentication data when you sign up (including via Google).
- Family & device data — family circle membership, child profiles, linked devices, pairing codes, schedules, time limits, missions/rewards settings, and session status.
- Usage summaries — daily play-time totals and related enforcement status used to apply limits and show reports to parents.
- Device & app technical data — platform (iOS/Android/web), push notification tokens, and basic diagnostics needed to operate the service.
On child devices, platform features such as Apple Screen Time / Family Controls or Android usage access may process app usage on-device to enforce limits. We do not sell your family’s personal information.
What we do not collect
- We do not read personal messages, emails, or call logs.
- We do not track continuous GPS location for surveillance.
- We do not sell family usage data to advertisers.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide accounts, family circles, device pairing, and parental controls
- Enforce time limits, schedules, locks, and related features
- Show parents dashboards and activity summaries
- Send service notifications (for example, lock or session events)
- Improve reliability, security, and customer support
- Process subscriptions and payments through our payment providers
How we store and share information
Account and family data are stored using cloud services we rely on to operate GamerGuard (including Firebase/Google Cloud). We share data only with service providers who help us run the product (hosting, authentication, analytics needed for operation, and payments), or when required by law.
Co-parents you invite to a family circle can access shared circle data according to the roles and privacy settings you configure.
Children’s privacy
GamerGuard is designed for parents/guardians to manage child devices. Parents create and control child profiles and linked devices. We do not knowingly allow children to create independent parent accounts without a parent or guardian. If you believe we have collected information inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Data retention & deletion
We retain account and family data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may request account deletion or data removal by contacting us. Some information may be retained for a limited time for security, backup, or legal obligations.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate for a consumer family product, including authenticated access and encrypted transit where supported by our providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your choices
- Update profile and circle settings in the parent dashboard
- Unlink devices and revoke co-parent invites
- Disable notifications in device system settings
- Request account deletion by contacting support
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of GamerGuard after an update means you accept the revised policy.
